From The Mall to the Motorcade
He is enjoying his double chocolate chip ice cream during a staged, relaxing Sunday walk through a cute little town in New Hampshire. Groups of reporters and six Secret Service men match every step the leader takes.
Reporters, the secret service, the leader, the wife, and the son, who has not stopped huffing the bucket of wood stainer the family bought at a family-owned shop, shuffle along.
One secret service man, a product of the internship program, was plucked from the ranks of The Mall of America Mall Cop Program. His life has taken a dramatic turn, from standing guard at an H&M to protecting one of the most important lives in the world. In a twist of fate, he is lactose intolerant but couldn't bring himself to refuse the leader's offer of a Dulce Leche ice cream cone - a sacrifice he had to make.
A few more yards into the walk, he must use the bathroom but maintain sight of the leader. Convincing his boss through the earpiece, he runs into the nearest CVS to use the bathroom.
Running into the pharmacy, he finds the bathroom and unleashes garbage water from the deep valves. Due to circumstances, he cannot pass the time with a casual scroll through Instagram or TikTok, a new habit he has to break because he is so used to blocking out this time to be unproductive and chase the dopamine hit.
Wrapping it up quickly, he exits the stool to find himself in the middle of an armed robbery at the register.
Losing all the feeling in his legs and all instincts to reach for his weapon or call in the crime over the radio to his team, he goes for the holster only to realize he has a B-B gun painted like a real gun. He forgets and draws, firing two shots at the upper back of the robber holding up the register.
As the B-Bs bounce off the criminal, he turns around, and locks in with the Mall Cop turned Secret Service man. The robber makes a B-line to the guard and orders him to empty his pockets and give him his steel-toed orthopedic dress shoes.
Left without a wallet, earpiece, shoes, and Tommy Hilfiger tie his mom bought him, he scuffles back to the group on their way to the motorcade.
Catching up to his team, he is immediately apprehended by the Secret Service and asked who he is.
He had been with the crew for 5 years and said he was brought on by the world leader himself.
He informed the men he was mistaken for a guard who had worked for the leader back when he was a senator.
Unable to be trusted, now serving life in prison, holding state secrets.
